Through years of involvement in the Navy’s nuclear ship program, we have earned a highly respectable reputation in the planning, production, and testing of hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical units for installation in total-weapons systems. We are a major manufacturer of accumulators (the hydraulic power systems for nuclear submarines), antenna masts with hoist cylinders, steering and diving controls, trash compactors, hydraulic valves, operators, actuators, launching and arresting gear parts and associated components. Production of these mechanical assemblies to zero-defect standards is evidenced in master-control stations, watertight doors and man and missile hatches.

Garvey is not only involved in initial production of these systems, but also in full-scale refurbishment and overhaul systems, often during emergency and casualty repair situations.
